Copyright and Takedown Requests
If something on Cam2Cam.io uses your work, your image, your identity or your private details without permission, this is how to ask for it to be removed.
Last reviewed
Four kinds of request
| Request | When it applies |
|---|---|
| Your work | Someone has uploaded a photo, video, drawing or piece of writing that belongs to you, as an avatar, album item, Moment or club image. |
| Your image | A photo or clip of you is on the site, or a person captured you during a call without asking and posted it here. |
| Your identity | An account claims to be you, or claims a connection to you or to your brand. |
| Your details | Your phone number, home address or other private information has been posted without your consent. |
Send any of the four to [email protected], naming the type in the subject. Capturing people on calls without permission and pretending to be someone else are also against our community guidelines and terms.
What your email should contain
- The location: a profile link or nickname, plus the spot it appears (avatar, album, Moments, club or message).
- What the material copies or who appears in it, linking to your original where possible.
- The basis for your request: you made it, own it, are pictured in it, or represent whoever is.
- A way to contact you.
- A line confirming the request is accurate as far as you know.
Leave out passwords, login codes and card details; no takedown requires them. Where intimate images or a child are involved, describe the material in words rather than attaching it.
What happens next
We might come back to you for more details or for evidence that the request is yours to make. If it holds up, the material can be removed or made inaccessible, and the uploader’s account can be warned, restricted, suspended or closed. We may preserve records tied to the case and supply them to meet legitimate legal demands. A removal only covers Cam2Cam.io; cached versions held by search engines or other services can linger, and you would need to contact them yourself.
If a request was about your content
Had something taken down that you think you were entitled to post? Perhaps you created it, licensed it, or it was confused with someone else’s. Reply to the same address with your reasons and any proof. Remember that the terms make you answerable for your uploads and for claims they trigger if they breach another person’s rights.
Our own material
The Cam2Cam.io brand, logo, design and code are owned by us or by those who license them to us, and may not be copied, scraped, redistributed or reverse engineered without our consent. Whatever you create is still yours, subject to the permissions set out in the terms.
